Pianoforte intensive course
Particle irradiation: molecular, cellular & tissue effects
The University of Caen-Normandy, Centre Francois Baclesse and Advanced Resource Center for HADrontherapy in Europe (ARCHADE) invite young researchers/master student / PhD students/ radiation protection officers and medical doctors to attend the PianoForte intensive course on biological effects of particle irradiation.
The course will be held between 26th-30th of June, in Caen.
The course will cover topics such as:
- Complex DNA damage and repair Cytogenetics
- Cardiovascular effects
- Neurovascular effects
- Secondary cancers
- Immune system response

ISoRED 2025 Meeting
Save the date for the 2nd meeting of the International Society of Radiation Epidemiology and Dosimetry
9-11 September 2025, Lyon, France
To be held at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon, France on
9-11 September, 2025 and will be offered in a hybrid format allowing both in-person and remote participation. The meeting will consist of three days of presentations covering topics of medical, occupational, and environmental radiation exposure. The sessions will touch on both epidemiologic and dosimetry aspects and, as appropriate, related fields such as clinical medicine, biology, and social sciences.
Details on registration, abstract submission, scientific program, hotel, social activities, and award opportunities for early career scientists will be provided as they are developed. Visit the meeting website for all the details.

Multidisciplinary European Low Dose Initiative (MELODI)
MELODI is a European Platform dedicated to low dose radiation risk research. In 2010 MELODI was founded as a registered association with 15 members.
MELODI has constant calls for funding and travel grants for researchers as well as the yearly MELODI Award. All of the information is available at:

The European Partnership for Radiation Protection Research (PIANTOFORTE)
The PIANOFORTE partnership aims to contribute to improving the protection of the public, workers, patients and the environment from environmental, occupational and medical exposure to ionizing radiation.
PIANOFORTE also offers several opportunities for courses and funding for travel.
